"C" is for Cookie that's good enough for me

Guess what my mommy left out?
I love cookies!!!!
How can I get into these things?

So many choices....

Maybe I will just try one...

I will cover up the evidence....
She will never know...
one more won't hurt

I think she is coming...I am going to put this one back!
It's just a little soggy.
Just in the nick of time....she will never guess.
Daddy may I have a cookie? I haven't had any today!!!

Reclinin'

Since Madeline likes to watch the t.v. standing next to the entertainment center, Mike and I let her pick out this new recliner. Mike is pretty jealous because he really wants a recliner, but I also always say no....Good think the weight limit is 75lbs or Madeline might lose her chair!

The only disappointing part was that Madeline has to use this as a cup holder instead of an ashtray....Look closely.. it says NOT AN ASTRAY...very appropriate for a toddlers chair! ha!

15 Months

Each month I say the same thing....I can't believe how time flies. So what have you been up to lately?

Yes I know I am cute!
  • Working on getting your first set of molars...they are making you very unhappy.
  • No matter what time you go to bed you are up around 8:30.
  • You are talk ALL of the time.
  • New words: no, go, play, out, uh oh, side(outside), duck, bear, cup, thank you, awww
  • You are such a loving little girl and I hope you stay that way. Everything that you come in contact with gets a combination of hug, kiss or pats. Makes my heart melt!
  • You love it when daddy chases you around the house. You run to him and then fall in the floor and giggle and shrill.
  • Flirty flirt indeed...especially to older men in public....I guess you think they are all grandpas! haha
Sorry Mike....Madeline is in control of what we watch.

  • Your appetite has decreased and will not eat most food we fix you, but you will always eat any type of cracker, cookie or sweets (I wonder who you get that from)!
  • Rice is definitely your favorite food.
  • You are walking all over the place and want to walk when we are out in public.
  • You are very determined and strong willed.
  • You have learned how to pet the dogs and cat and you are sweet to them most of the time. They even get hugs and kisses. You like to stick you tongue out for Asia and you like to have her kiss your face! Not one of my favorite things!
  • You love having books read to you. You also like to "read" your books.
  • You like to sit in our laps and we love it!!!

Dog Days of Winter

Another snow day for the Phillips household. Madeline and I enjoyed spending another day with Mike. Since it is the first of the month, Mike had some reports he needed to work on for the office.

She spent her morning playing and loving on the dogs. The dogs have to earn their keep around here so they are employed at Mike's office as guard dogs so they are not usually here either. I think she likes having them around...can't you tell?

She also LOVES dragging out all of her toys!

Snow Day

I LOVE LOVE the snow....especially when it means the hubby gets to stay home (a very rare occurrence) and play with us all day. The storm started last night with rain and sleet, followed by 6 inches of snow.

Absolutely beautiful!!!

Madeline was also excited that daddy stayed home!

I decided to make up some blueberry pancakes for breakfast, vegetable soup for lunch and Mike is cooking up some burritos for dinner as I type this! Although Madeline technically experienced her first snow last year during Christmas and was only a little over a month old, today was the first time we actually went out a played in it.

I don't know if it is because she is teething AGAIN, but she is soooo clingy lately and had little interest in the snow. We put her in the wagon and pulled her around....she did not like that and wanted to be carried. We thought this walking thing would give our arms a rest, apparently Madeline disagrees!

The dogs had a good time. Addie didn't like it at first, but it might
have something to do with her belly touching the snow.
After she grew accustomed to it, her and Asia had a blast.

Looks like we might have a snow day tomorrow too! :)
