Catch Up Time Part 1

For some reason or another I have gotten extremely lazy when it comes to blogging. I have tons of cute pics, but never they never make it own the blog. The next few days I will be putting up a bunch of random pictures to see what this little cutie has been up to the last few months.

Mike and I decided we would tryout the toddler bed attachment for Madeline's crib. It is easy to change out if necessary, but this little girl made the transition smoothly.

She has decided she needs more things in her bed, but she stays put until we open the door. It is almost like that is her "permission" to get out of her bed.

I can't believe how big she looks in the picture. Where did my little baby go? I am a little sad, but she is turning into a sweet little girl.

Her friends seem to always accompany her everywhere. I am telling you we have a hoarder on our hands. She always tries to get every toy she is playing with at the time to bring them into the living room, to eat with or to put in the car. I think she gets that from my side of the family, but not me! haha

In addition to her hoarding she started lining up her toys. She places them in a line and gets very angry if the fall or will not stand up like she wants them to.

The longer her hair gets the more curls this girl has....all I can say is I am In LOVE with this hair!!!!!

She also has turned into Linus...she needs three blankets to go to bed and each morning brings them all out into the living room. She calls them "tuffs" I have no idea where that came from. She sleeps with her dog, princess, bunny and baby.

She also turned 21 months in August. I know she is almost 22 months know, but like I said I have been lazy.

She is talking more every day and repeats almost anything you say to her. She knows says I lub you...all on her own know. I never get tired of hearing it!! She also likes to give kisses or ask for sugar/hugs and says she loves you. We enrolled her in gymnastics, a music class and she will start preschool next week. Her independent play is better and she loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse thanks to her good friend Landry. :) She also moved up in her Sunday school class. I don't know what happened in transition, but she has blossomed. Mike and I are so proud of our little sweetie. She is growing up too fast!!!

M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E

Enjoying some Mickey Mouse with her daddy.

No Toys Necessary!

Who knew unloading the dishwasher would be so fun and lead to a new discovery? Who needs toys when you can play with a really cool "truck."

Surprisingly no batteries required!

It even "beeps" and "vrooms!"

Megan Visits Abilene

Each summer our niece, Megan comes to Abilene to spend a week with us. Basically she gets lots of love, sugar, and gets to do ALL the things her parents don't let her! We even manage to do some fun things together and hang out (that is the cool part about being and Auntie and an Uncle). Her parentals can't say much because they are 2 1/2 hours away and unless there are pictures, there is not any evidence of what goes on in A-town! :)

We visited the Grace Museum. As you can't tell both girls had lots of fun!

One of Megan's favorite things when she visits is to cook and bake cupcakes. She helped me with dinner several times through out the week. She even makes rice better than Mike does! :) haha

The trip is not complete without making cupcakes!

Madeline enjoyed it as well!!

We visited Prime Time, played at the mall, went shopping, jammed out to Justin Bieber, swam and spent some good quality time together. Can't wait until next summer!

20 Months - really late

As usual I am late posting Madeline's 20 month update. I don't know where the month of July went and I can't believe summer is coming to an end. Soon we will celebrate another birthday and we will be the proud parents of a two year old.

Madeline is looking more like a little girl every day. She changes constantly, picks up new thing, and is talking up a storm. She is still very sweet and loving. It melts my heart to hear her say "love you" and "suga" (sugar) because she wants to give you a kiss. She has started giving hugs and kisses on her own and I LOVE IT!!!

Look at this sweet girl! I could just eat her up with a spoon!

Can you believe she is old enough for real shoes? Mike and I picked these up for her a few weeks ago. She refers to them as her "cool shoes" because they light up when she walks. She wants to wear them with everything. As you can tell she loves her accessories! She asks for a bow and bracelets every day usually in the morning. She doesn't care if she has on pajamas or not, because it is important to be accessorized at all times!

Gymnastics

Summer gymnastics has come to an end. Madeline really enjoyed jumping on the trampolines, walking the balance beams, and playing in the foam pit. Since she had such a good time, she is registered for Tuesday night classes in the fall.

With it being in the morning, Mike was only able to make it to one of her classes. She loved having her daddy their and in the fall he will be able to join us!

Here are few pictures from one of her classes.

Stretching with daddy

rolling around

jumping of course, her new favorite thing

Finally got her to try the swing and she still doesn't like it, but she has progressed since her first day.

She still talks about jumping, thankfully classes start in a few weeks!
