What's Behind Curtain #1?

Can you guess?

I am not so sure what is so appealing about these curtains,
but she plays in them EVERY day!

This one cracks me up!

She has also discovered her tricycle.

Christmas....my favorite time of the year!!!!

Anyone who knows me well knows that my favorite time of the year is Christmas. I love everything about the holiday....cold weather, trees, Christmas lights, stockings, nativities, snowmen, but most importantly I love time with family and the traditions that we have and are starting as a new family. As long as I can remember my mother always sent out Christmas cards and once I headed out on my own I began sending out cards as well. Not only do I love sending them, I love getting them from others. Who doesn't like getting cards in the mail? It beats the not so fun things you get when you are an adult! It gives me away to stay in contact with people that I no longer see on a day to day basis.

Also sending out Christmas cards has allowed me to share new beginnings in my life. In 2007 we sent out our first card as husband and wife with our first fuzzy baby. Last year we sent out our first card with our daughter. I am excited to capture and share the changes in our life on the year's card.
Since I like to send cards out early, I started looking through the awesome photo cards on Shutterfly. Some of my favorites are these:

I have used Shutterfly for prints, Christmas cards and birth announcements in the past and I have always been satisfied with their quality. Also if you are interested in Christmas cards make sure to check out their holiday collection here. Now to the hard part...picking only one!!!

Look What I Can Do!

In case you didn't know I am pretty smart!
This toy is for two year olds, but I am not waiting until I am two!
I have already figured out how this thing works.
Daddy is helping me now, but trust me I don't need help.
Sometimes I just sneak on it when no one is watching me.

Lately

This is what I have been up to.
..

Acting silly in front of the camera

eating

going for long drives

listening to some stories

wishing that dirt pile would spread itself and a swing set would appear :)

stealing my momma's credit card

and thinking about all the fun I could have with this thing!!!

Someone loves her baby

Madeline takes good care of her "ba." When you ask her where her baby is she looks around and crawls too her. She will pick her up, pat her and say "ba." She also loves to give her sweet kisses. Maybe it is because Mike and I are always giving our sweet baby kisses, hugs, and patting her on the back! I kinda like the idea of her modeling this behavior! Makes my heart smile.

The Day After....

Madeline enjoyed sleeping a little later and trying out some of her new toys. I love this picture! It looks like she knows exactly what she is doing! :)

Finally recovered....

I think we have finally recovered from Madeline's birthday. Unfortunately Mike and her have been sick all week so our house is still decorated from her party, but I really don't mind. I figure we put some much work in her decor we might as well enjoy it a little longer. I am thankful for Abby and Alicia for helping me with her decor. I thought it would be more fun and cuter to make all of her stuff. These girls came over and got their craft on...Abby even brought over her handy dandy Cricut..which made it ALOT easier!!

Madeline enjoyed having everyone over so much she didn't feel like taking a nap....but she did really well. I still have a hard time believing that we have a one year old. It is amazing how fast the year has flown by. Here are a few pics from her party....
