Roundup Sunday

Each year our church has a "Roundup Sunday" to kick of school and the end of summer. It is supposed to be a time that attendance is back to normal and we are all back in our routines. Mike and I have enjoyed attending each year which involves a church-wide barbecue and various outdoor activities, however this year was definitely the best. It was Madeline's first "Roundup Sunday."

She visited the petting zoo. A local farm brought goats, horses, rabbits, sheep, and a calf.

If you look closely you can see Madeline's future boyfriend Ethan, with his dad Jeff. :)

I think she is going to be an animal lover, but we already knew that! Maybe we can talk her daddy into getting a horse.

Since I was wearing a skirt, Mike took her on her first horse ride. HSU's brought a few of the Six White Horses. I am not sure why the horse has a crazy eye in this picture!

10-4 ...We have an attempted escape

It all began with an innocent little girl
who got caught up in some mischief.

She removed the loot from the diaper bag (Thanks Dr. Wiley for the new book!)

She was soon on the loose

trying to escape.

She was tired of getting only 3 squares a day...

with little to no fresh air....

dreaming about being on the outside...

and getting outta this place!

Uh oh gotta play it cool... I thinks she is on to me (please excuse our dirty windows! haha)

I want to win a Silhouette Craft Cutter!!

I read Kara's blog often for party ideas, but today she is hosting a give a way for one of these! I would be pretty excited to win!

We have a big girl on our hands....

We took Madeline to her 9 month check up this morning (yes I realize that she is almost 10 months old, but her pediatrician has been out of the office.)

I was a little hesitant to keep her appointment at 9:00 a.m. on a Monday morning because it usually involves lots of sick babies who have been sick over the weekend, but today we got in and out in record time!!

I think it had to do with school starting...who wants to miss the first day of school?

Anyway our sweet baby girl is growing....she is 27 1/2 inches long and a whopping 20 pounds and 3 oz!!! (This is explains the muscle in my right arm!! ha!) The doctor was pleased with her weight gain and Madeline was excited about not getting shots. We are really thankful to have such a great doctor!

Needless to say this sweet girl is changing and doing all kinds of new things. I can't believe she is almost 10 months old. Her recent discovery is holding on to her crib and pulling herself up.

Can you tell she is pretty proud of herself! :)

A Sweet Little Visitor

This week we have a visitor at our house who likes all things sweet, pink and dreams about bread! haha (These are just a few of her favorite things!)

She is a sweet little girl who is constantly on the move. She enjoys baking and eating cupcakes when she comes to visit
.

She also likes playing in the dog kennel

and playing working out on the elliptical. I am glad someone is putting that thing to
use! :)

Cutest Girl I Know

I probably shouldn't let her sit on the table, but it works. ha!

I can see you.........

Madeline has a few new tricks.....

We constantly check on her when she is sleeping

just to make sure she is still breathing or to adjust her surveillance camera (gotta keep an eye on this kid!!)

and sometimes she hears us so we get down on all fours to crawl out of her room

but I think she is on to us!

Weekend Recap.....

Madeline's two new dresses. I am glad my mom came to this weekend to help me finish them!

The flower pin I made for her dress...

Madeline modeling one of the dresses... she really wasn't interested in changing clothes much less having her picture taken! Fortunately I was able to get one good pic!! I also made her a cute hair bow.

I got these jeans for her at Old Navy for FREE!!!! I received a reward card from them and was able to get her these jeans without spending one cent!!! :)
