For some reason I thought it might be fun to sew Madeline a few new dresses. I kinda have a love/hate relationship with sewing. I love creating things, but sometimes Mr. Singer is not my best friend. I found a cute dress tutorial from a blog I follow for the basics and inspiration. I think they are versatile. She can wear them with or without shirt, can easily be worn as a shirt as she gets taller and I might even remove the straps later and turn them into a skirt. I think they turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself. :)

Sweet and Innocent
Don't worry....I am not up to anything. I am just hanging out with Asia. Go ahead and put up my laundry in the other room. I will stay here.
I think they are gone. Woohoo!
I am going to see how much I can get off of this roll.
Maybe I will even wrap myself in it.
Ok I think I got enough for now.
I am going to take it out in the hall and maybe into my room if it will reach.
Uh oh! It is stuck on my arm.
I am pretty proud of myself and I didn't get caught!
I think I will play in it a little more.
Okay I guess it is bath time. The fun is all over.

Weekend Visitors
We enjoyed a weekend with my my sister, her hubby and my niece. They drove in Friday evening and stayed with us until Sunday afternoon. They decided to drop in last minute and our house looked like a bomb had gone off, so no one was exempt from cleaning. Not even this little sweetie. ha!
Madeline loves her cousin Megan. As you can tell they enjoyed watching a movie together.
The Malone family picked a good weekend to visit. Mike was able to find a good deal on dirt and brought some home for the backyard. If you read this blog very often you would think we work our
families like dogs....and you would be correct. However this time, they offered to help and we didn't say no! We still have one more load waiting in the backyard, but the backyard is almost ready for grass!! HALLELUJAH!!!
Megan was even sweet enough to help out!
After a hard days work, we planned on taking the girls to the Abilene Zoo. Sadly we arrived right before closing time. Who knew they closed at 5 on the Saturday? Not us! Instead we walked down to the park down from the zoo.
This kid had a B.A.L.L
.
But for some reason she doesn't like the swings. I guess she is scared of them
.
Megan on the other hand, enjoyed every minute on the swings....they might even be her favorite thing!
