Fourth of July

We spent the weekend in P-ville with my parents. Although the drive seemed long, we had a pretty good time. It rained all day Saturday and a little on Sunday, but we still enjoyed good food and some homemade ice cream and bread pudding.

Since Mike had Monday off we decided to come home Sunday afternoon. The plan was to steam clean the carpet, but instead we were inspired to work on our fireplace/mantle (it was about time....we have had the mantle for almost 6 months!!) This is only the beginning of our project.
